Mencía Blend
This blend of Mencía and Alicante Bouchet are from plots of located in Espanillo at an altitude of 700 meters. The average age of the vineyard is 80 years. The soil is decomposed slate with sandy areas, ploughed in 3 passes in spring. After a manual harvest in boxes, the grapes are selected, partly destemmed and crushed. Then it goes directly into a 5000L cask where it makes the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, it will remain in this cask until it's transferred to be bottled. The aging time is 11 months and it is bottled without filtration and with a slight clarification.
